MoneySmart is a project of the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) that comprises a website, publications and education programs. It provides information and tools to help people make financial decisions. Its tagline is "Simple guidance you can trust". == History == The MoneySmart website was officially launched on 15 March 2011 〔'(MoneySmart launch )' ( 15 March 2011) MoneySmart〕 as part of the Australian Government's National Financial Literacy Strategy 2008-2010.〔(Australian National Financial Literacy Strategy ) (March 2011) National Financial Literacy Strategy〕 MoneySmart replaced two other consumer websites that were previously maintained by ASIC: FIDO (www.fido.gov.au) and Understanding Money (www.understandingmoney.gov.au).
